'The Meeting on the Turret Stairs’ is a reproduction of a romantic watercolor painting created by Frederic William Burton in 1864. It depicts a touching scene from the tragic love story of medieval Danish lovers Hellelil and Hildebrand. The artist imagined the encounter on the turret stairs was the last time the star-crossed lovers would meet.
